- Does the submission demonstrate a fresh, creative take on the challenge theme?
- Does it push creative boundaries within the challenge constraints?
- (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Is the idea original or does it significantly improve upon existing solutions?
- (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Is the concept ambitious, novel, or unique?
TECHNICAL EXECUTION - 25%
- Does the submission reveal meaningful patterns or trends, highlight unexpected findings, or raise new questions worth exploring?
- Are the data sources credible and relevant, with assumptions clearly stated and the methodology transparent and sound?
- (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Is the solution technically sound, functional, and clearly communicated?
- (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Does the technical solution align well with the challenge theme?
IMPACT & FEASIBILITY - 25%
- Does the analysis align with the challenge goals while demonstrating subject-matter expertise, awareness of equity considerations, and understanding of real-world impacts?
- (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Is the solution meaningful and realistically implementable?
- (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Does the team present a viable path for implementation or growth?
- (for Phase 2 and Final Pitch) Could this realistically be developed further beyond the scope of the challenge?
PRESENTATION & COMMUNICATION - 15%
- Are the findings clearly presented, with well-designed visuals, a compelling data story, and content that is easy to understand for non-expert audiences?
- How well does the team communicate their idea and its value?
- (for Final Pitch) Did all members of the team participate in the presentation?
- (for Final Pitch) Is the pitch engaging, well-structured, and accessible to a non-technical audience?

TEAM COMPOSITION & COLLABORATION - 10%
