  1. How can Bombardier integrate AI-driven solutions to enhance supplier available environmental data across the value chain and to reduce environmental impacts?
  2. How can AI-driven simulations and digital twins be used to innovate and streamline the testing and certification processes for more sustainable and energy-efficient aircraft?
  3. How can Bombardier use AI to measure and forecast its environmental footprint in real-time, to support the business aviation industry commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emission by 2050?
  4. How can Bombardier use AI in the manufacturing sites to streamline operations and reduce its environmental footprint?
  5. How can predictive maintenance models extend the lifespan of machinery and reduce the environmental impact of frequent replacements?
  6. How can AI contribute to creating a circular economy model focused on reusing, recycling, and repurposing aircraft materials?
  7. How can AI be leveraged to measure and optimize the carbon footprint impact of Bombardier’s fleet of Mobile Response Team (MRT), which operate a fleet of +30 Repair Trucks in US and Western Europe, which are dispatched to hundreds of Airports when an aircraft needs unscheduled maintenance?
  8. How can you leverage AI to position parts within Bombardier’s international network of parts depot and hubs to minimize Co2 footprint of long-distance shipments?
 


Evaluation Criteria


ORIGINALITY & INNOVATION - 30%

Does the project offer an original, innovative approach to addressing the selected problem? Is the project ambitious or creative within the constraints of the challenge timeline? Is this a new idea?

TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE - 30%

Does your team make effective and appropriate use of the selected tools and technologies? Does the team effectively communicate a solution to the challenge?

TEAM DIVERSITY & COMPLEMENTARY SKILLS - 10%

Does your team reflect diversity? Does your team have a complementary skill set that enables you to tackle the different aspects of your project?

IMPACT & FEASIBILITY - 30%

Does the project address a clear need, problem, or opportunity? Does the project fit the problem it addresses? Does the team have a credible plan for implementing their proposed solution and does the solution have a good product/market fit?


Eligibility/Rules

  • Must be a post-secondary student enrolled at a Quebec institution (including abroad) or an international student attending a post-secondary school in Quebec
  • Teams must be 2-4 people
  • All team members must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary school 
  • Be able to physically work in Quebec when hired
    (Note: documentation of all of the above is required to process any prizing)
  • Must be an original idea not used in previous pitch events, school projects, grant proposals, etc.
